University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio Holds Annual Conference

The University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio (UCEAO) held its annual conference in Columbus, entitled “Putting the Pieces Together: The New Energy Paradigm in Research, Education, Business and Public Policy.” This special edition of AirFocu$ covers the conference highlights.
The UCEAO consists of 15 universities that recognize the growing importance of advanced energy to the economic and homeland security of Ohio and the nation.
UCEAO’s mission statement calls for “advocacy of research and education in clean energy generation; sharing of expertise with energy policy decision makes; and, speaking with a single voice on critical energy issues for our academic, government and industrial partners.” UCEAO’s coordinated efforts with the Ohio Department of Development to support promising advanced energy projects at member universities have resulted in the submission of 11 proposals to the Energy Frontier Research Centers program at the U. S. Department of Energy.
