The Ohio Air Quality Development Authority (OAQDA) is a non-regulatory, state-level governmental agency created to help Ohio businesses comply and go beyond clean air regulations. Since its creation in 1970, OAQDA has worked to improve air quality by supporting businesses, creating jobs, and improving communities while enhancing the health and safety of all Ohioans. OAQDA administers several bond financings for industrial and commercial businesses that may include energy efficiency, renewable energy, alternative transportation, recycling and solid waste disposal, and pollution mitigation. To support the growth in its programs statewide and its professional team, OAQDA is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and qualified Program Coordinator with data analytics experience related to environmental, pollution control and/or sustainability initiatives to support our Clean Air Resource Center (CARC) Small Business Assistance Program, Clean Air Improvement Program (CAIP) and Solar Generation Fund Program (SGF). Accountability and transparency are prioritized as part of program design and implementation, including robust measurement and verification protocols in accordance with industry and capital market standards. This position will manage external technical experts on gathering and analyzing data along with preparing and interpreting results on program effectiveness and outreach. A strong candidate will possess the right combination of technical expertise, project management, a collaborative spirit and passion for using data for evaluation, reporting and story-telling purposes.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent, FLSA Exempt, Exempt position (may include promotion, transfer or demotion).

Work Duties:

Supports the Program Manager of Planning and Projects on the successful implementation of OAQDA’s programs including the Solar Generation Fund and Clean Air Resource Center.

Manages assigned programs or projects to include handling intake and review of applications, validating project specifications with coordination with external consultants, making recommendations to Executive Director, and coordination with all parties involved to close on financing and any necessary follow-up.

Leads and coordinates the agency’s data collection, analysis, and visualization activities to support the tracking, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of project and program performance. Handles reporting responsibilities for the Solar Generation Fund for qualified facilities.

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with internal team members, external consultants and partners, Executive Director and Authority Members, business and community partners, and public.

Assists with special projects, attends monthly board meetings as well as other public meetings, conferences, or workshops to maintain knowledge on industry standards & trends. Continually works to improve the methods, organization, efficiency, and delivery of program resources

Major Worker Characteristics:

Ability to: acquire data from multiple sources, work with structured and unstructured data, develop complex reports; gather, collate & classify information according to established methods; provide statistical analysis of program data results and impact; apply analytical information to provide recommendations on agency goals and objectives; work independently (remote work is an option) and with a group; ability to move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant data.

Knowledge of business administration, management science, data analytics, budgeting, and environmental sustainability. Ability to handle sensitive telephone & face-to-face inquiries & contacts with public & government; develop & write complex reports & position papers; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions & present summary findings.

Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, equipment operations (e.g., computer, printer, scanner and fax), demonstrates commitment to customer service performance standards in alignment with agency’s promise to deliver service, performs additional duties as assigned by Manager of Planning & Projects, Fiscal Officer and Executive Director.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study
Minimum 3 years of program coordination or equivalent work experience
Experience in Data Analytics
Experience in the Energy Industry
